To help illustrate our point of just how critical it is to select
the right paver installer, we are sharing some pictures of what we
call the Paver Hall of Shame. While we are proud to say none of
these photos are of any of our jobs, they are actual photos of
competitors projects.
Many of these projects were awarded to those contractors based on
their attractive lower price, rather than the contractor's proven
knowledge and tract record. Some of these companies sell the jobs,
but then turn around and use sub contractors to do the
installation. In many cases the sub contractors tend to cut corners
or buy cheaper products in an attempt to increase their profits
margin, when this occurs YOU the client gets left out with a subpar
paver patio or driveway that looks good upon completion, but sooner
rather than later the imperfections start showing.
These companies are driven by sales volume. They must sell large
volume of patios, to offset the overhead needed to support that
very same volume. It often becomes a resource robbing cycle of
events, more patios, more mistakes requiring more people and
associated overhead. In the end the customers "new patio" often
resembles one that has been hacked and patched resembling a old
patio renovation. These same companies often lay claim to have
built more patios than anybody...ever...on the entire
planet...since before the dawn of time..." (or some such sales
hype). Or they boast of being "Voted Best of This and Greatest of
That" typically by the same publications that they spent thousands
of dollars with in monthly advertising. We don't believe in
Gimmicks, hype or false advertising claims. Free this and free
that, never "FREE", but rather buried in the price. Again, just
more smoke and mirrors designed to get you sign a contract with
them. Our company is built with focus on quality construction,
rather than quantity - only a couple of jobs at a time - to prevent
these construction train wrecks.
Our business model is different. We strive to keep our overhead
low, our volume manageable and pass the savings on to the customer.
We do not claim to be the best but we strive to be the best in our
industry. We live, work and support our local community and pride
ourselves in not having to hide in public from the embarrassment of
a job gone badly. Come back and visit these pictures often during
your decision process. Visit our 10-point promise guarantee to
learn how we prevent these things from happening on our jobs.
As a customer of Houston Landscape Images, you will never be told
that any of these conditions are "normal" or to be expected during
or after construction. We view these photos as simply unacceptable
and bad reflection on our industry as a whole. Visit our
testimonial page to read what our customers are saying about our
company.
